Self Care

Who says Self-Care can't be fun? Not me!

 

I've got all the products you need to turn your self-care routine into a Sunday Funday extravaganza. With gardening tools that will have you digging up inner peace and drawing supplies that will unleash your inner Picasso (or your inner stick-figure artist, I don't judge). With these products, you'll be able to plan out your perfect day of relaxation, whether that means soaking in a bubble bath, sipping on a cup of tea, or binging your favorite show in your coziest PJs. Don't postpone your happiness and join the self-care revolution. 

For me there are three crucial aspects to our Self Care. These are the building blocks of a healthy and happy life, and we cannot afford to neglect them.

First and foremost, we have the physical aspect. It's all about taking care of your body like it's a temple. Exercising, stretching, sleeping well, eating smart - these are the cornerstones of a healthy body. You must make a commitment to being active and stick to it like your life depends on it, because it just might.

Next, we have the emotional aspect. It's like giving your mind a much-needed spa day. You need to create space to process your thoughts and feelings, to express yourself creatively through outlets like painting. It's not just about looking after your body; it's about taking care of your soul.

And finally, we have the spiritual aspect. this is like finding your inner light and shining it out into the world. Meditating, journaling, taking long walks in nature, or even plunging into the ocean - these are the ways we connect with something bigger than ourselves. We must take the time to nurture our spirit, to find meaning and purpose in our lives.

Self Care is not just a luxury, it's a necessity. You owe it to yourself and to those you love to take care of yourself because nowadays self-care is the new health care.

Eucalyptus Oil

Eucalyptus leaves have many impressive benefits and I use this essential oil with almost every massage treatment.  Typically used to open the sinuses, Eucalyptus may help decrease pain, promote relaxation, and relieve cold symptoms. Many products also use eucalyptus extract to freshen your breath, soothe irritated skin, and repel insects. If you enjoy aromatherapy, then this is a must have for your daily use.

Body Scrub

The habit of taking a moment to use a body scrub is a great healthy routine. It's true that there are tons of great options for body scrubs out there but I love the convenience and price of this body scrub. Infused with the power of the Tea Tree, which is known for its healing and antiseptic properties. This body scrub will leave your skin fresh, clean and revitalized. This scrub helps remove old skin cells and promotes healthier and younger looking skin while locking in moisture all day.

Mindfulness Coloring

Take a little break to relieve stress and boost your creativity with a variety of animal and flower drawings to color. To me, art therapy is an effective way to find one's inner balance and escape from the hectic everyday life. The arts have always been important to me and I love bringing my coloring book to the beach, camping and on vacation. In a way, my hyperactive mind can be easily entertained with this coloring book. You will need a set of markers to go along.

Snorkling Mask

Who does not love to go snorkeling? Not me, I don't miss a chance to jump in the water and this mask is always with me. It's the second mask I've tried after having my first one for about a year. The salt and sand will inevitably wear down the clarity of any mask and they all struggle a pressurizing, especially if you have a beard. This mask does a great job at addressing those issues and honestly makes it effortless for me to float and enjoy the beauty of the ocean.

Plantfulness

Focusing your attention on the immediate tasks and details of gardening can reduce negative thoughts by bringing you closer to nature. House plants engage the senses, especially touch and smell, resulting in us being tuned in to the present. This can help prevent anxiety, depression and insomnia.  This hydroponic indoor garden makes it easy to enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of plants.

Ninja Socks

Wearing sandals and being barefoot often dries my feet. I use these socks to help keep my heels moisturized and smooth. This easy solution has been the most effective way to stay on top of my foot health. The socks moisturize, repair and relieve dry, cracked or irritated heels. I simply take a shower at the end of the day, then massage the heels with my favorite foot cream before putting my ninja socks on. Try building a routine by keeping the socks and a foot cream near your bed so that it is easy to use it while you sleep.

Stomach Health

Overall digestive health has always been on the top of my priorities. As a college student, the stressful environment of academia led me to having stomach ulcers. The long and slow process to recover taught me the importance of prioritizing the way I process both stress and the choices affecting nutrition. That's when I started learning and taking probiotics as a daily supplement. Not only does it support the immune system, but it also helps with bloating and gas while regulating our stomach functions.

Beach Blanket

Going to the beach is an absolute requirement for all my clients. Personally, I make it to the beach at least once a week. This blanket not only does a great job at holding its flat shape but it's also huge with the ability to fold into a tiny bag. Moving to Florida has its perks and jumping in the ocean is certainly one of them. This is my favorite beach blanket because it is quick dry and can be put through the washing machine when you want to clean it.

Zodiac Candles

For those of you who enjoy the cosmos, here is my favorite candle to use for meditation. They literally add crystals to these candles to represent each elemental zodiac group. There's the candle for Aries, Leo and Saggitarus. Then it's my own crew of Gemini, Libra and Aquarious. Followed by Pisces, Cancer and Scorpio.  Last but not least, it's the candle for Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. These are all a great gifts idea for anyone.

Foot Spa Day

Keeping a few of these amazing foot sock treatments around is always a good idea. Once a month, I treat myself to a pedicure and then go home to use the foot sock treatment. I will admit that it is important to have enough time to let the moisturizer settle in. I like to make sure to have at least 30 to 45 minutes of free time to relax without walking.

Beach Umbrella

Living in Fort Lauderdale means that going to the beach is a way of life. For me, each Sunday Funday should begin with a dip into the Atlantic Ocean. You can't visit the beach so often without having an easy beach setup. Having shaded areas are very important and this umbrella makes it super easy for me to accomplish that. The umbrella can attach to almost any chair and and it is designed to fold to guarantee stable protection from the sun. I never go to the beach without this umbrella.

Adding this supplement to my daily routine was easy and absolutely worth it. The taste of the formula is delicious and goes well with my creamer. Taking care of our skin begins with our nutrition and having a good source of collagen is very important. This is honestly the easiest solution I have found to adding collagen to my morning routine.
