To me, there are three major aspects to our Self Care
First is the physical: exercising, stretching, sleeping well, eating smart and having a commitment to being active is essential to a healthy body.
Second is the emotional: giving ourselves permission to pause and tune into our thoughts, create time to process our day to day. Expressing ourselves by painting and other creative outlets.
Third is spiritual: meditating, journaling, going for walks in nature or my personal favorite, having a weekly swim in the ocean. Having these types of routines have helped me feel connected and continue to add the quality of my life.
Eucalyptus leaves have many impressive benefits and I use this essential oil with almost every massage treatment. Typically used to open the sinuses, Eucalyptus may help decrease pain, promote relaxation, and relieve cold symptoms. Many products also use eucalyptus extract to freshen your breath, soothe irritated skin, and repel insects. If you enjoy aromatherapy, then this is a must have for your daily use.
The habit of taking a moment to use a body scrub is a great healthy routine. It's true that there are tons of great options for body scrubs out there but I love the convenience and price of this body scrub. Who does not love to go snorkeling? Not me, I don't miss a chance to jump in the water and this mask is always with me. It's the second mask I've tried after having my first one for about a year. The salt and sand will inevitably wear down the clarity of any mask and they all struggle a pressurizing, especially if you have a beard. I simply take a shower at the end of the day, then massage the heels with my favorite foot cream before putting my ninja socks on. Overall digestive health has always been on the top of my priorities. As a college student, the stressful environment of academia led me to having stomach ulcers. The long and slow process to recover taught me the importance of prioritizing the way I process both stress and the choices affecting nutrition. Going to the beach is an absolute requirement for all my clients. Personally, I make it to the beach at least once a week. Last but not least, it's the candle for Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. These are all a great gifts idea for anyone.
Foot Spa Day
Keeping a few of these amazing foot sock treatments around is always a good idea. Once a month, I treat myself to a pedicure and then go home to use the foot sock treatment. I will admit that it is important to have enough time to let the moisturizer settle in. I like to make sure to have at least 30 to 45 minutes of free time to relax without walking.
Living in Fort Lauderdale means that going to the beach is a way of life. For me, each Sunday Funday should begin with a dip into the Atlantic Ocean. You can't visit the beach so often without having an easy beach setup. Having shaded areas are very important and this umbrella makes it super easy for me to accomplish that. The umbrella can attach to almost any chair and and it is designed to fold to guarantee stable protection from the sun. I never go to the beach without this umbrella.
